- + What are your Rates/Specials?
- Mariposa offers specials and incentives that vary week to week or by month. We encourage you to contact the manager and inquire as to what we are offering today!
- + What are the Income Limits/Qualifying Criteria?
- We are a 55+ community with income qualifications that are revised by the state annually. Please call us for details for the income guidelines in your area.
- + Are Meals Provided?
- As we are independent living, Mariposa does not provide meals to residents.
- + Is Transportation Provided?
- Mariposa does not have transportation on site, but does have scheduled transportation available during the week for a minimal fee, and the city bus stops at corner of Mariposa entrance.
- + What Utilities Do Residents Pay?
- Residents pay for their electric, phone, and cable. We provide water, sewer, trash, and landscaping. We also have a great maintenance team.
- + What are your pet policies?
- We are pet friendly at Mariposa and request a weight limit of 40 lbs & no more than 2 pets.
- + Are activities provided?
- Absolutely! We encourage active lifestyles everyday and support that belief with scheduled activities daily. Ask for a calendar, or better yet, call us!
- + Do you provide housekeeping?
- Mariposa does not provide housekeeping services, but we can provide a list of resources within your community.
- + What type of shopping is in the local area?
- We have an outlet mall and shopping center just a couple of miles away. Wal-Mart, HEB, Super Target, JCPenny's & Bealls are a few minutes away as well.
- + What are policies for having guests?
- We encourage guests to visit but require a maximum of a 3-day stay. A notice is required if staying any longer. Family and friends are welcome to attend activities and to take advantage of the amenities.
- + Do you require renter's insurance?
- We strongly recommend that all residents obtain renters insurance.
- + How is the community configured?
- We offer one and two bedroom designs in an easy access three story clubhouse and surrounding community buildings with elevators.
- + What are the lease terms?
- We provide a 12 month lease and will recertify every year.
- + Are there penalties if I was to become ill and could not stay for the lease term?
- Our residents are family. That said, we will be glad to work with you if something unexpected were to occur. There will be an 85% reletting fee of one month's rent, with 30 days written notice.
- + Can I still work, once I move to Mariposa?
- Yes, absolutely!
- + Would I be able to lease my apartment while I'm away?
- No, we only allow persons on the lease to live on the property.
